Please read the information below carefully, so you will know what to expect and can minimize any interruptions to your account access. Advance action on your part is required to ensure a smooth transition of your account access.

Thank you very much for your loyalty to First Capital Bank. Because you are a valued customer, our commitment is to keep you well-informed as you transition with us to Park Sterling Bank. In order to make the process as smooth as possible for you, we want to share this important information regarding your accounts and services.

On May 6, 2016, First Capital Bank and Park Sterling Bank will begin the integration of our computer systems. Completion of the integration is scheduled for May 9, 2016.

The information below highlights upcoming changes to your account(s) and services as well as key dates to be aware of during this process.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with the critical information about Debit Cards, Online Banking and Mobile Banking, and Bill Pay. Make a note of the dates and information so that the brief disruptions in these services are as minimal as possible while we finalize the conversion from First Capital Bank to Park Sterling Bank systems. By the end of April, you will receive a new Park Sterling Bank Debit MasterCard® with chip technology. You can activate your new card at any time after ou receive it, but you will not be able to use it until May 9, 2016. 

Your First Capital Bank debit card will be deactivated on May 9, 2016 and you will not be able to use it in the future. More information about your new Park Sterling Debit MasterCard with chip technology will be sent to you along with your card in a separate mailing.

  • Personal Online Banking functionality will be limited between May 2, 2016 and May 6, 2016 at 6 PM, at which time it will be permanently disabled.
  • On May 2, 2016, your current Bill Pay will be permanently disabled.
  • On May 9, 2016, Park Sterling's Online Banking and Bill Pay will replace your current system. Account transfers and payments previously scheduled for May 2 through May 9 will transfer as planned.

  • You may continue to use Business Online Banking until Friday, May 6 at 4:00 PM.
  • Park Sterling's Online Banking Systems will be available on May 9, 2016.
  • Account transfers previously scheduled during this period of inactivity will occur as planned.



  • Your current Bill Pay will be permanently disabled on May 2, 2016.
  • Park Sterling Bill Pay will be available beginning May 9, 2016. All scheduled payments that are set to pay during this inactive period, including future payments, will pay as planned.
  • Park Sterling Bank Bill Pay will include six months of bill payment history. If you need additional bill payment history, please download it from your current system before May 1, 2016.
  • Your existing payee list will transfer automatically to the Park Sterling Bill Pay service.
  • Electronic Bills (eBills) - If you currently receive eBills from your billers through First Capital Bank Bill Pay, please note that your billers will cancel your electronic bills and replace them with paper statements after May 1. You will be invited to re-enroll for electronic bills following May 9 through Park Sterling Bill Pay. Until your re-enrollment has been processed by your biller(s), you will receive paper bills in the mail.



  • Your First Capital Personal Mobile App(s) will be permanently disabled on May 2, 2016.
  • To minimize the interruption to your mobile access, please download the Park Sterling Bank Mobile app from the App Store or Google Play and begin using it as soon as May 9, 2016.

  • Your First Capital Business Mobile App will be permanently disabled on May 6, 2016.
  • To minimize the interruption to your mobile access, please download one of Park Sterling's Business Mobile apps from the App Store or Google Play as soon as May 9, 2016.

Download the PS Business Mobile App for iPhone, the iPad App or the Google Android App.

If you have been notified that your business will be a Navigator customer, download the Navigator by Park Sterling Mobile App from the App Store for iPhone, iPad or  from Google Play for Android.


Quicken and Quickbooks

  • In order to fully utilize your Intuit (Quickbooks and/or Quicken) application(s) and ensure continued service, please use the guides below. Follow important step-by-step instructions provided in the Conversion instructions. It is very important that you take these steps before 4 PM ET Thursday, May 5  2016.

Purchase Rewards

  • The Purchase Rewards program, located within Personal Online Banking, allowed you to click on a variety of offers from local stores and restaurants and then receive a rebate to your account when you shopped with that participating merchant and met the requirements of the reward. This program was discontinued on March 30, 2016.
  • You can expect to receive credit for rewards earned through March 31, 2016, no later than April 30, 2016.


Finance Works

  • Although Finance Works, the account aggregation tool within Personal Online Banking will not be available after May 1, 2016, we look forward to introducing you to 360º by Park Sterling, a tool similar to Finance Works, which you will be able to access via web, mobile or tablet after May 9, 2016.
  • 360º by Park Sterling will allow you to view all of your financial information, even from other banks and credit cards, together in one place through our secure online banking platform.

IMPORTANT:  If you would like to retain your transaction history from within Finance Works, please follow the steps below to export and save your information prior to May 1, 2016. 

  1. Login to First Capital Bank Personal Online Banking
  2. Click on Manage Money
  3. Select Finance Works/Account Overview
  4. Click on Transactions
  5. Click on Download
  6. You will be able to export your data to a file, which you will be able to open in an Excel spreadsheet.
